The Learning Company International
An established UK education provider whose online presence had fallen behind the standard of its teaching. Rebuilt to a 2026 standard, with local search set up properly so parents in their area can actually find them.

The brief
TLCI came to us with a familiar problem for an established education provider. The teaching was strong, the reputation locally was good, and almost none of that was visible to a parent searching online. The site had been built years earlier, predated the expectations of a phone-first audience, and was effectively absent from local search results.
The brief was direct: bring the whole online presence up to a 2026 standard, and make sure that when someone in their area searches for education and training, TLCI appears.
Two halves to that. The site itself had to be rebuilt to current standards of speed, accessibility and structure. And the local search foundation — the Google Business Profile, the consistency of their details across the web, the way their pages are organised around what parents actually search for — had to be built from scratch, because none of it existed.
What we did
Four workstreams, run in sequence so each one built on the last.

Thinking behind the design
Education is a trust purchase. A parent choosing where to send their child is not comparing feature lists, they are looking for evidence that the people involved are serious and that the organisation is real. Design decisions followed from that.
So the site is calm rather than busy, with generous space, a small consistent type scale and real photography rather than stock. Every page gives a plain answer to the question it exists to answer, and a clear way to make contact from wherever the visitor happens to be. Nothing on it exists to look current.
Course information is the reason most visitors arrive, so it sits one click from anywhere rather than three. Each page states what the course is, who it suits and what happens next, with an enquiry route on the page itself instead of a trip back to a contact form.
Most parents look in the evening, on a phone, with limited patience. The build was tested on real devices rather than resized in a browser, with images sized and compressed properly so pages arrive quickly. Speed is a design decision before it is a technical one.
Where it leaves them
A site the team can run themselves, and a local search foundation that keeps working without monthly fees.
